Wrought Iron Easels
Anything that can be made of wood can be made of metal. Everyone has their preferences as to what sort of material that they like the best. Personally, I have always liked wrought iron easels. They look very Gothic to me, as if they came straight out of the middle ages somewhere. A little sword and sorcery. A vision of royalty and the castles they live in. That's what they say to me.

I guess I've always had a liking for dramatic effects as far as decor goes. Iron twisted into various shapes is a great turn in that direction. They can be used the same way as their wooden counterparts. The only difference is in the look. And many of them can have a very interesting look indeed.
Can't you just imagine a castle in the middle of Europe somewhere, with spires and a moat. Windows made of stained glass, tapestries on the walls, and wrought iron easels to accent portraits. It's a vision that's straight out of a movie somewhere. Both romantic and decadent at the same time.
Maybe I just love that time period a little bit too much. But how can you not? It screams of adventure and dragons. Okay, I know that the part with dragons is just legend, but it's still exciting stuff. I will stop short of digging a moat around my home though. But I can have as much dark metal as I like and still be normal. But I think people would think a moat is bizarre. I also think that, that's probably against some kind of community code somewhere.
Even if you're not into all that, I think they are a great way to display your photographs. They are also a wonderful alternative to hanging paintings on a wall. It's like putting a piece of art on display on a piece of art. The spirals and curves do a wonderful job of drawing the eye to them.
I have found that wrought iron easels can even add a little something to your kitchen if used as a decorative cookbook stand. I have recently tried my hand at a few recipes, and it's way easier for me to follow along if the book that I'm using is held open at a comfortable eye level for me. I'm not the best chef yet, but I'm actually better than I ever thought I would be, and this technique has made things easier. It's never too late to pick up a new hobby, I guess.
